He was a fantastic bass player. One of the best ever. I spent many hours listening to my brother's Yes albums (great pictures too). < http://yesworld.com/discography/ >
There is one think about Yes that I cannot figure out: Why isn't Yes in the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame? < https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_Rock_and_Roll_Hall_of_Fame_inductees >

This is freaky.

A few days before he died I was listening to the "Yes: Fragile" Audio DVD a friend of mine gave me a couple of years ago.

http://www.amazon.com/Fragile-Yes/dp/B004YKB50Q

They only made those for a few short years, and I was curious to see if it was worth any money; so I looked it up. It has indeed gone up in value and they are selling for $42 right now.

It makes me sad to read Squire has died. I grew up listening to Yes and I am a bass player myself. He was one of my early inspirations and in my opinion one of the best musicians of all time.

Chris will surely be missed, but we can take some comfort in knowing we still have his music to listen to.

I will make sure to be listening to Yes the next time I play MWO.

I have seen Yes many times ( 3 or 4 in the 70s and a couple of times in 2000

Back in the 70s I had the chance to meet Jon Anderson (vocalist t that time) as was supposed to meet Christopher Squire that same time. He was giving an interview with Rolling Stone (I guess they were a bit more important than me...) so I did not get the meet.

Like those posing here, I have been a big Yes Fan, and Richard Wakeman Fan and Steve Howe too.

When I think of Yes, I think a tour they did called "In the round" with a circular stage that rotated clockwise, whilst Wakeman was in the center covered in keyboard turning counter clockwise. Anderson on one 'corner, Squire opposite him and Steve Howe in another and Alan white on percussion in the other. One of the best, most clear sounding concerts I ever saw. So close to studio sound it was almost like wearing headphones....
