geoff nicholls keyboardist for Sabbath and many other metal bands past away today as well .... With the passing of such great talents like Butch Trucks and Geoff Nicholls , who created such pioneering sounds , that are re-produced , copied , and used by artiest today , its sad to see such great talents pass away .. Theses guys amongst many others  of a by gone area ,who actually had to go into a studio and develop and perfect such wonderful sounds are slowly and sadly leaving us ..Without people like this I could only imagine what music would have sound like

this just sad .......all  these great talents and pioneers , from what ever industry they are from , are leaving us. I guess its a sign of the times. Maybe it is time to ''pass the torch'' . I guess we need to bow our heads and embrace what these people have given us through out the years .
Me personally, I am going to dig into my closet and pull out those old dusty 12'' vinyls and pay homage to those who have given me joy and relaxation my entire life .....

in my house when you spin a vinyl there only one rule.......you play it loud ,you play it proud ....

RIP fellas ... thank you for the wonderful music

this guy passing away a few days ago really shocked me and breaks my heart to the fullest ...
he had the best voice to come out of the grunge area bar none ...a great singer and song writer who yet again died way to young

RIP Chris Cornell

He was one of those musician who developed and pioneer a sound that will never be duplicated in a way that musicians like Gregg Allman did it.. Hearing some one play a Hammond B-3 organ live on stage is something you just don't forget . I had the pleasure of seeing Yes and Steve Winwood live at Different times and at both shows the bands had Hammond organs on stage .
Sadly I never seen Gregg Allman perform live ,but I can tell you that growing up in the South listening to him and his brother and bands like the Allman brothers had a  major influence on me .. You know, its very sad that in today's world and even beyond ,that the kids who allow music into there lives in such way as I did and others That they will never have the pleasure of experiencing such great musicians like Gregg Allman . We were truly blessed......

RIP ....

Gregg my friend, you are finally free, time to let it shine

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pDIQ7Otf1mw

Greg basically died of Hep C and alcohol. He had a liver transplant some years ago, but the beast in the bottle beat him down.
Soulshine, its better than moonshine....
Should have listened to his own lyrics.
He was  a good guy overall, but he had many demons
A great performer and song writer, had that haunting hammond with a leslie
