Vettie Here and Still Alive (barely)

 Vettie here and still alive.

Long story made to be short (as short as possible for me)...

Sometime in March (last couple of weeks), I began tossing up blood. A couple time in on day, but I got to feeling better rather quickly. A couple days after that, I did it again, 4 times. Never recovered from that episode.

Turns out I was bleeding internally, and had lost some 9 unit of blood. After almost 2 full weeks of not getting any better, I went to the ER. They admitted me immediately.

I was later moved to the main hospital here in town where they did a procedure to see what was going on. I found out at that time that if I had waited 3 or 4 more days, I would have died from internal bleeding.

After the procedure, they wanted to do another to fix the bleeding and my liver (no transplant). They could not do that at that facility was moved again to Huntsville so they could do they shunt implant and  hopefully stop the bleeding.

I was given 9 full units of blood. Adult human males have somewhere between 10 and 12 units. (roughly 10pints, I was given 8pints.).

In a nut shell, I almost bled to death. I was in the hospital for all of April and 1st 2 weeks of May.

Home now and Paige is taking care of me. I am on the mend and walking again, every day (was flat on my back, bed ridden while in hospital until the very last week.

Obviously, I feel better. Getting stronger each day, altho still get tired easily. So I will be back on soon.

Looking pretty close at that Resistance Pack 2, Wolfie, BK and Mauler look pretty darn good. Plus a 4 variant if you get an order in (soon). So looking forward to that....

Thanx for the Pms and the thoughts. I survived this one. Rough ride, but I pulled it out in true Blood Pearl fashion. You know wait til the end is in sight and kick some ass to pull it off.

Damn Chief, super glad you're alright (mostly).
We were pretty worried about you after you fell off the radar.
Get better and PLEASE, no more last minute BP style wins.
Let me know if you need anything.

Glad to hear you are okay Vettie.  You gave us all a good scare.  We thought the worse.  We tried to contact you every way we could think of.  Please send at least one of us a quick text next time.  Now get well and get your butt back on comms.  We need to hear an old man complaining.   :P

thanx guys

most of you my phone was also fritzing during all of that.

same number but i got a new galaxy s6 on saturday.

medical scare was too much for me. no more waiting, lol.

i am still weak, but a little better every day. docs say a month or so before my body starts rebuilding blood on its own.... boo

so for now i drink 2 bottles of water and go piss one out every hour or so...

5 weeks on liquid diet, i am starting to get my appetite back. Days when I eat EVERYTHING, and days when just 1small meal does it for me. got to get that regulated too

I bit the bullet and bought the Resistance Pack 2

Pretty Cool

Comes with 2 surface mount resistors, 2 pin and hole resistors and a poster of a resistor with a CAPE on.

Dudes, I am so stoked!

I heard Momma had to loose some weight so she could fit inside a Black Knight. When she's inside it,  she'll still add about two tons to the weight of the thing!  :o  :D

The Black Knight comes with a whale oil lubed crew port in addition to the crowbar entry assist system.
No worries.

Momma just got her first Grasshopper so she can prepare herself for the upcoming BK release.  But what is scary, is that the GH might be better than the BK because it has jump jets.  Thoughts?
