So the gaming box video died.
Replacement on it's way. Anyone use the below?

XFX Radeon Double D R9 270X

I'm an Nvidia groupie so this will be a new experience.

nope but I have a 7770 and it works great. had to get the small profile to fit nicely in my chassis but it gives no trouble and gets very good fps. 72 to 75 at idle and 50 to 65 in game.

i use custom settings. some are medium most are high, altho i noticed that those on high if switched to very high i only lose a couple of fps but the vid card fan runs A LOT more than staying with my current settings. 1920 * 1280 i think, full screen mode.

Every review I've read of the R9 270X has been pretty good. That would be my direct upgrade from my HD6850 if I were to replace my video card.

And I have an AMD MSI 7950 video card and it plays the game on High at 60fps without an issue. I have heard good things about the new R9 series.

Cool. It was the best rated card <$200 which is my limit on video cards.

Cow boxen are all fixed. New kVM in place and all monitors working properly.
Yay.

You might even see me on this week.

P.S. Updated my comms IPs but I don't have the password to Hash comms.
