Welcome Bazz.  You need to get your internet figured out so you can join us and watch D-Day shoot into a mob a mechs and still miss them all!!!  It is a special skill that D-Day has.  And that is even with Streak SRMS!!! 

I'll have you know, I miss all mechs, not just  mechs that are in a mob. Unless you're on my team, then I'll hit ya.

Hi Baz.   

I am starting to get used to the new monitor.  It definitely is taking a bit of adjusting to get used to it.  For the last 10 years I have had triple screens but they have always been straight screens and I would angle it to fit on my desk. 

I am now playing MWO at night with the new monitor at 5120x1440 resolution.  No mech can sneak up on me from the side.  I can see through the edges of the cockpit windows!!!  Stealth fleas are going splat from my LBXs!!!! 

OMG.  It is here and I hooked it up.  It is soooooooooo big.  I am not sure how I am supposed to use it.  I ran MWO at 5120x1440 and I needed to turn it down to medium to get a solid 60fps. 

This is going to take some getting used to.  I was used to having my 3 monitors and having them angled so I could see the three screens.  Now with this screen it is a gentle curve and it is so weird.

I'm just using a small GTX 1060 3GB card which works just fine for 1080p 60Hz gaming. Yeah that might be a bit much for a RX 580 to handle. It'll be interesting to see how well it runs it. I'm interested to see how the 5700 series ends up being. You might want to wait until (I think it's early July when those cards launch) the reviews start coming out to see what to do. I'm wondering if maybe the Radeon 7 might be the card to go with especially if you want to go high settings/60Hz at that high of a resolution. I'm assuming that monitor has freesync and stuff like that right?
