MekTek announced today that they will no longer be supporting MW4
Its in their forums (sorry I didnt provide a link)
This is truly a sad day...
-
jooc what happens to the servers, and how does the game stay hosted?
-
They are looking fro some one to take over the reigns
IF someone does, they get the balance of MP4 content, servers, mekmatch and everything to keep it going
here is the link

No more NBT

It's too bad there might not be anymore support for MW4 but that doesn't mean we can't still play it. As long as we have comms and know what the ip for the server (whoever is hosting) then we can keep playing all the cool maps we want to.

As far as I know, that is absolutely correct. IP Connections.
Who knows, someone or a group over at NBT MIGHT step up here and try to take over what it is MekTek has for sale. I know if Dark Phoenix were still involved or if Bryan (MWL leader/owner) were still alive, one of them would have or would try to take over if they could reach an agreement.

I believe Bazz Bashem of Sunder (and of ComGuards) has an in at NBT (the NBT server admin). Perhaps he can shed some light on this.
