Last night someone attempted to hack into the BP forums and access them. It might have been a passing Clan Dropship heading to the Inner Sphere!! They were successfully blocked and locked out. I have updated the security question for new members when they register. You might want to have Troodon try again to set up a new account. Only BP members will know the answer to the new registration question.
It's a good thing we got Smaga watching out for us .

I'm pretty sure that was done for advertising purposes. It would be kind of neat though as some kind of crazy game mode later on in the future.

Screw selling the yard, turn it into a garden and grow some vegetables and fruit to sell later on. I know lots of people who do that. They grow their stuff then head on out to the farmers market and sell it. Of course they usually turn them into some kind of dish to sell like jams and pies and stuff like that. It's a good little racket .

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/LGA_1155Your chipset has the ability to support ivy bridge processors according to the chart. Maybe Cow can dig up something.

Is there maybe an update for the motherboard that could help? I know my motherboard came standard before the ivy bridge processors came out but it had an update that would allow it to run an ivy bridge processor. I believe it was a BIOS update if I'm not mistaken.

Aw man...
So, I bought a AMD FX(tm)-8120 Eight-Core Processor, ASUS M5 A97 R2.0 motherboard, and a 750w PSU to run er'. When I turned It all on, somehow, my video card had fried.. lame.. the dude told me he put a better video card in, got home. Installed all my drivers for everything and find out he put in an AMD Radeon HD 6450.. which apparently can't even run MWO. So that sucks, guess I'm out until I can get another card D:
I would go back to the store and demand that you get a video card of equal value you had and not some old piece of junk he claimed would be better. You had a GTX 650, a HD 6450 is definitely not an upgrade. That sounds pretty shady if you ask me. If you have the old card you might still be able to send it in and get a new one if the warranty is good.

Well at least the light comes on . I hope he put the CPU heat sink on properly. He might want to try taking all the hardware out of the mobo and just go with the CPU, HDD, and the RAM and see if the system will start up. Then he can add the GPU afterwards if that works. Just a thought.

Yeah I read that yesterday night and was quite surprised. I guess big men die young. Crimson Tide, was that the submarine movie? If that is the one I'm thinking of then yeah that was a really good one.

Specs? Mother Board name and number? Videocard name and number? Power supply name and number?
Does the power supply turn on? Does the system try to load the operating system? Bad hard drive? If he got a new Mobo and he is using the old hard drive could there be a driver issue? If the computer at least boots up what are the temps? Something may have been DOA.
